If your hair tends to fall flat no matter what you do, don't worry- this method will help.

We often worry so much about volumizing products without focusing on the technique we use while styling.

One of the easiest ways to add lift to your roots is by simply changing the direction in which you blow-dry your hair.

The Trick: Flip and Lift

When drying your hair, start by flipping your roots in the opposite direction of where you want your final part to be. If you usually part your hair on the left, dry it while flipping it to the right.

The same goes for the right side—flip it left while blow-drying. Once your hair is completely dry, flip it back to your normal part.

Why It Works

This technique helps lift the roots away from the scalp as they dry, creating instant volume. Since your hair naturally falls back into place, the lift stays put without extra effort.

Bonus Tip

For even more volume, use a round brush while drying or finish with a spritz of lightweight volumizing spray.

Give it a try and enjoy fuller, bouncier hair in minutes.

Let me know how it works for you in the comments!

Thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a try. I find using any products on my hair makes it feel limp and/or dirty by the next day. Hopefully I’ll use this technique and won’t need as much product.

Hi Barb! I have fine hair so I also don't like using much product; that's why I find technique so valuable. Thank you for your support!
